I have fond memories of putting together jigsaw puzzles with
my mom. I’ve always loved puzzles and
still do. Working on puzzles, whether,
jigsaw or word, gives me a sense of calmness
yet stimulates the mind, and rejuvenates my creative process.
Over the years, I’ve made it my own tradition to work on a
jigsaw puzzle at the beginning of each New Year. The last couple of years however, I haven’t
had an opportunity to follow that tradition, but I changed that this year. I made it a point to get a new puzzle and
just jump in again, and here it is…viola!
It's been a while since I’ve
posted anything, but I really have been busy. Glitterfest is just around the
corner, October 13, so if you haven't already done so, mark your calendar.
The sacred heart is worn for protection. What better combination of bloodstone and
this fabulous Ex voto locket, from the zoWEE “Sacred Heart” Collection…
Ex-voto/Sacred Heart:Ex-votos (from the Latin phrase ex-voto
suscepto, meaning ‘from the vow made’) were – and still are – carried as
devotional objects and to give thanks for granted wishes, prayers and
intentions.
Bloodstone:Emotionally, Bloodstone helps in grounding
the heart energy.It reduces
irritability, aggressiveness, and impatience.Spiritually Bloodstone assists in bringing spirituality into everyday
life.
What a whirlwind it has been the past month.Today I was able to spend most of day
catching up, organizing and cleaning my office.I can see the surface of my desk!! I’m so excited. It feels so nice to have a clean slate again. Even my cat loved it; he was able to sprawl
out on the desk and not get scolded.
Of course, the sad thing is, it won’t last long.Having it all put away just to take it all out
again seems so pointless sometimes doesn’t it!However, I don’t know about you, but having everything put away and clean helps me unboggle my mind and get my creative juices flowing
again . Until the next whirlwind.
Aren't they just so cute?! Every year the mourning doves return to lay their eggs in this very nest. What was once a hanging plant is now a hanging nest for the next generation of doves. I've never had the heart to take it down and plant a new plant.
Well not me, maybe in another life, LOL, but the vintage rhinestone button necklace I created. I’m so excited and honored that one of my creations was chosen to be featured on the cover of the upcoming issue of “Jewelry Affaire” due to hit the stands April 1…be on the look out.
Meet Bentley!
I've shared a few photos here and there of our cats...
But here he is looking very regal and handsome. He is such a ham isn't he?! This photo was taken last week at the Advanced Veterinary Medical Imaging Facility. I had to chuckle when they sent it to us and I had to share. Bentley has a hyperthyroid we discovered so we opted for this treatment, radioactive iodine. It is suppose to be very effective, that is our hope.
He is happy to be home (and we're happy he is home), but he isn't happy with the restrictions required for the next couple of weeks.
Another Glitterfestwas this past Saturday, As usual, It was so nice to see friends, customers, fellow bloggers as well as make new connections.
A big “Thank You” to our hosts, Sheryl and Dianne of Whimzy for making it another sparkling event!!
I was only able to capture just a few photos. This time, my memory card was full. Geeze, it seems to always be something with me and the camera, not sure why.
A big “THANK YOU” to my BF, Cindy, who came to help me once again, I couldn’t do it without you!
THANK YOU to all of you that came out to support us.
Put March 10, 2012 on your calendar ladies, the next Glitterfest.
