Well almost. We have to make it through June gloom first. What is June gloom you ask? The gray marine layer which settles along the coast and several miles inland which usually burns off by noon. Those who live in Southern California beach cities all share this same hazy experience. Then, summer finally arrives, and it’s hot, then we wait for the coolness of Fall.
Although Spring is filled with warmer days, and bright flowers, Summer is still my favorite season. I love the longer days of light, being outdoors, walks on the beach, outdoor concerts, hanging out at sunset, barbeques, floating in the pool with my husband, hanging out with family & friends, vacations, anything else we relate to the summer months. As far as the heat, well we are fortunate to live somewhat close to the ocean, usually if it is hot during the day, it cools down at night. Summertime is a happy time...
Glitterfest…I think it’s still all a blur. What a show and a GREAT day, I met new artists, new people, and saw many familiar faces too. My only disappointment was the battery in my camera died before I could take photos (figures). I only got one shot from the whole experience, and there were so many amazing displays and art I wanted to capture.
A big hats off to Sheryl and Diane for hosting this Artful Occasion!
And a special “Thank You” to my friend, Cindy, who is always willing to help me!! I couldn't have done it without you.
Speaking of Glitterfest…it’s just around the corner, it’ll be here quick. If you have never been, you are in for a treat. I’ve been a busy bee coming up some fun new designs. Here is some work in progress…
By the way, this Saturday, May 1, I’m having a “Spring Fling” at my home just in time for Mother’s Day. If you need details, please feel free to leave a comment or e-mail me direct at joann@zoweeart.com.
