Glitterfest Fall

Another Glitterfest was this past Saturday, As usual,  It was so nice to see friends, customers, fellow bloggers as well as make new connections.

A big “Thank You” to our hosts, Sheryl and Dianne of Whimzy for making it another sparkling event!!

I was only able to capture just a few photos.  This time, my memory card was full.  Geeze, it seems to always be something with me and the camera, not sure why.

A big “THANK YOU” to my BF, Cindy, who came to help me once again, I couldn’t do it without you!
THANK YOU to all of you that came out to support us.

Put March 10, 2012 on your calendar ladies, the next Glitterfest.

I Found More...

Bling!  We just can’t seem to have enough bling, and shoes too of course.
I wasn’t sure what I was in search for this past Sunday when I ventured off to the flea market.  I had been busy all week so I thought I’d take an outdoor break.  The forecast called for rain, (can you believe, it’s June) so when the sun was out, and the sky was blue, I needed to get solar charged a bit before returning home and digging in once again..  I was excited to find the things I found.  I came home with some good inspiration.

More Bling!
And...what I've been up to...

Treasures

Look what I got Friday night at GLV Trunk Show....
I got rhinestones bits and bobs, chain, mother of pearl beads, more BLING, oh my! I especially LOVE the vintage MOP heart necklace (can you see it peeking through?), that made me very happy!  Not to mention visiting with all the wonderful ladies, some new faces and some familiar ones too.  Nancy you out did yourself, thank you for hosting and sharing!

Happy Friday the 13th!

It's going to be a lucky day I can feel it.   Can't you?!

This is what happened from the last inspiration, some fun bling...

More Inspiration

I found myself drawn to this palette, the golden color of pyrite, and the calmness of aquamarine.  It felt like a good combo.

Pyrite:  The resemblance of pyrite to gold has made it a traditional symbol for money and good luck.  It's sunny golden color associates it with the sun, and with fortification and strengthening of the mind.  The name comes from the Greek word meaning "a stone which strikes fire". Iron Pyrite makes a wonderful energy shield, blocking out negativity from various sources.  Some of its properties include:
  • Overcomes inertia and feelings of inadequacy
  • Energizes the area where you place it (such as on a desk where you work)
  • Helps you to see behind a facade
Use this stone to overcome lethargy and fatigue.  It increases the oxygen supply to the blood and strengthens the circulatory system.  It is beneficial for the lungs, alleviating bronchitis and asthma.

Aquamarine is a blue-green stone that comes from Colombia and Brazil.  It has been called "Water of the Sea", because of its color.  The aquamarine is the stone of sailors, believing it would be protection for them on water.  Folklore says the aquamarine will protect against gossip.  It is also said the aquamarine will pick up spirits. It is an excellent stone to use for meditating.  This is the stone to help you be in touch with your spiritual being.  Aquamarine is also often associated with the thymus gland.  It is very soothing worn as a necklace.  Healers use it to help reduce fluid retention. It has been used to calm the nerves.
